In Gongo Village, the loss of a husband often means the loss of security. For Mary, the transition was sudden and devastating, leaving her with small children and no clear path forward. Despair was a daily companion until she joined our Women and Widows Empowerment Program.

Through the program, Mary received not just emotional support from a community of peers, but tangible livelihood training. She learned financial literacy, small business management, and received the initial seed capital to start her own venture.

Today, Mary’s small business is a cornerstone of her local market. She is no longer a recipient of aid, but a contributor to the village economy. Her children are in school, and her home is filled with the warmth of self-reliance. Mary’s story is the heartbeat of Faith in Action Kenya.
